{"id":54,"date":"2015-08-02T12:47:54","date_gmt":"2015-08-02T12:47:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/catsforharper.ca\/?p=54"},"modified":"2015-08-02T12:47:54","modified_gmt":"2015-08-02T12:47:54","slug":"refugee-health-care","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cats.vttoth.com\/?p=54","title":{"rendered":"Refugee health care"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Few things symbolize more the petty vindictiveness of Stephen Harper&#8217;s government than their decision to cut funding to the health care of refugees arriving in Canada.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/hamilton\/hamilton-advocates-say-cuts-to-refugee-health-care-are-unethical-1.1408757\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-55\" src=\"http:\/\/catsforharper.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/refugee-health-care.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cats.vttoth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/refugee-health-care.jpg 620w, https:\/\/cats.vttoth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/refugee-health-care-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Although a court reinstated some of the health care benefits to refugees, the government is appealing this decision and meanwhile, doctors and clinics are thoroughly confused and sometimes <a href=\"http:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/2082760\/refugee-health-cuts-even-those-who-qualify-get-turned-away\/\">turn even qualified refugees away<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If they believe their own propaganda, it speaks volumes about the levels of demagoguery characteristic of this government.
