This year it may be <a href=\"http:\/\/catsforharper.ca\/?p=69\">about terrorism<\/a>; last year, it was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/news\/politics\/canada-wont-issue-visas-to-residents-of-countries-battling-ebola\/article21409277\/\">about Ebola<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/bw\/articles\/2014-11-04\/ebola-travel-bans-can-buy-time-but-not-safety\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-82\" src=\"http:\/\/catsforharper.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ebola_travel_ban3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"630\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cats.vttoth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ebola_travel_ban3.png 630w, https:\/\/cats.vttoth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ebola_travel_ban3-300x214.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Going against the advice of its own scientists and the World Health Organization, Mr. Harper&#8217;s government last year restricted travel to Canada by visitors from certain Ebola-stricken countries. There is no reason to believe that this travel ban had any effect; first world countries where no such travel ban was instituted had no Ebola outbreaks either.
